History of Mykonos Greek Restaurant

Owner Dimitrios Jimmy Merageas was born in Sparta, Greece. Growing up and watching his grandmother and mother cook delicious authentic Greek food in their tiny little taverna, Jimmy was always eager to help.  Jimmy was given the opportunity to come to America, so he packed up his bags and moved to Chicago. In 1981, Jimmy opened Mykonos Restaurant, and in 1983 he had a revolutionary idea, he opened the first patio in the Chicagoland area. The rest was history. Today, Jimmy's legacy is carried on through his wife and his children.
